It’s hard to be sneaky in a cave where each click of the shutter sounds like a riffle firing. I’m not sure if Brooke saw it coming but she was definitely happy to say yes to Adam’s sweet and well thought out proposal.
ZuhGfest 2014
My band, Güero, was booked to play Saturday morning at ZuhGfest, so we packed the Corolla and headed up to Downiville, CA. Friday night was awesome, we were testing out my new light toy and listening to some awesome music when the sky decided to open up. The whole band hunkered down in my 25 year old tent and somehow managed to stay dry until the morning when the rain finally let up. Although many of the bands didn’t get to play, everyone seemed to welcome the rain and there weren’t too many complaints. We ended up playing on the patio of the main house at the Sierra Shangri-La resort and had a great time. The venue is really amazing up there and I can’t wait to go back next year and explore a little more.
Fire Children
Yuri Marmerstein is an artist and an athlete. He is good friends with my friend Alice who owns and operates Aerial Evolution in Sacramento. They dropped by the studio one day and I had to take them up on the roof for some shots. Super humans doing super things. Enjoy.

Cosmic 2014
My band Güero got a chance to play at the Cosmic Family Gathering this year. I didn’t shoot much but I did get some awesome shots of my friend Christian and his new guitar. Christian hand crafts some spectacular instruments. Check out the Christian Allen luthiery website to see more of his work.
Christian saw a bag of trash floating along in the icy river while I was photographing his guitar. Being the Sage he is, he took the chilly plunge and fished it out. Check out the reflections in this photo.. pretty cosmic if you ask me.
The next generation of Cosmic Family was running all around this year, including Jason and Sandy’s little Cosmic Prince Lucas.
