Jonathan and Samedi

This was my first experience shooting multiple types of cultural ceremonies in the same day. Jonathan is Chinese and Jewish, Di is Cambodian and Buddhist. The first half of the day was a fury of outfit changes, chants, food, songs and stories in a traditional Cambodian style. I was amazed and bewildered by most of what was happening, but there was plenty to shoot! The Cambodian festivities came to an end and before I could catch my breath they were getting ready for a more familiar type of wedding, complete with Jewish ceremony and reception. It was a wild ride and I’m happy to have been a part of it. Thanks to my 2nd shooter Russel Volksen for the awesome work.  Congrats Jon and Di!
