I finally had some time to swing over to Sun and Soil Juice Co. to get some photos for Submerge Magazine. The place is absolutely charming, inviting and full of intoxicating smells. Molly and Tatiana have outdone themselves with their new juice business and I couldn’t be more excited for them. It’s the perfect time and place for this kind of business in Sacramento. The cafe is fun to photograph as it’s full of greenery and saturated with light. The menu is mouth watering, and the customers are all bubbling over with intoxicating energy. I really could have stayed all day and even thought about filling out a job application! I can’t say enough about this place and the cool people behind it. You have to drop by 1912 P street, give it a taste and see what the buzz is about.
Summer of Sin
I have shot the summer guide for the Sacramento News and Review for a couple years now and it’s always good clean fun. When the call came in this year I was a little surprised to hear that this summer, the photos would be all nude. That’s right, the Nude and Review decided to get a little sinful this summer with some hot naked action. I got some amazing photos from our Adam and Eve shoot down by the river, here’s a little glimpse of what we got, including some very cute butts. Big thanks to Niki and Josh for being naked and fearless!

A Perfect Distraction
Surprise Engagement
Reymon called to ask me if I could photograph his wedding proposal without his girlfriend knowing I was there. He had a strategic plan for the day, including brunch on the river, a carriage ride around Sacramento and a big surprise in the rose garden at Capitol park. It sounded like fun to me so I grabbed the big glass and followed them around, shooting from the shadows. It worked perfectly! Alyssa had no idea she was being followed or photographed. She also wasn’t expecting her friends and family to jump out of the trees after she said yes. Check out these sneaky photos from the day! Also, thanks to my buddy Russell Volksen for helping me shoot.
Arriving at brunch in old town, there’s lots of tourists with cameras down there..
Reymon could barely contain his excitement. He almost lost it when he first saw us shooting.
After brunch on the Delta King, they headed into old Sacramento where their chariot awaited.
Arriving at the rose garden, Alyssa still had no idea what was about to happen.
The gazebo was all set by friends and family, the ring is hidden on the ground just under some rose pedals.
As Alyssa opens the box, Reymon grabs the ring and takes a knee.
The bushes have eyes.. Russell and I flanked them without Alyssa ever knowing we were there.
The rest of the crew comes out of the trees to congratulate the newly engaged couple.
Congratulations Reymon and Alyssa!
